A Potato Story...
Or a story like a potato… But not an ordinary potato, an Amsterdam potato.
How is everything... We were two at first, but with our dreams, we became three. In the busy pace of life, in between years spent running around in different jobs, we had a little vacation escape: Amsterdam. One morning, while walking around the streets of the city, a small shop with a long line in front of it caught our attention. We took the potatoes in the cone in our hands. We stopped at the first bite, looked at each other. We said, 'Why don't we do this too?'... A seemingly simple street food made us dream. We wanted to share the excitement and happiness created by that taste with others.
As soon as we returned, we rolled up our sleeves and turned our own kitchen into a small laboratory. We tried the right potato, its cut, temperature, and texture over and over again. With countless trials, sometimes spontaneously inspired recipes, we created not only flavor but also character. This process became both our joy and our source of energy.
And finally, we opened a place as big as our dream in Ankara Tunalı, and Frydam was born.
Today at Frydam, we offer Amsterdam style potatoes, sauces from different countries, homemade burgers, hotdogs and churros with chocolate sauce. We can't help but have dessert... There is a piece of our excitement and love in every plate and every cone.
We were saying, “We will start this journey in retirement.”
But then we realized:
The best time is always now.
Now we work together, produce together, laugh together. And every day, we start over with the excitement of the first day.

Trüflü burger sipariş ettim. Ekmeğiyle, köftesiyle, sosuyla çook güzeldi. Patateslerin pişmesi tam ayarındaydı. Hiç denemediğim sosları denedim, özellikle jopi sosu ve mekanın özel soslarını denemenizi öneririm. Fiyatları da gerçekten uygundu. Tunalıya uğradıkça es geçmeyeceğim bir mekan.

Çok fazla hamburger yemem ama tesadüfen caddeden geçerken görüp girdiğim yerde söylemiş olduğum hamburgere gerçekten bayıldım. Çok Çok farklı biz lezzeti vardı. Etinde doğal et kokusu, patatesi anlık kızartılan patates ile kendilerine ait özel soslar mükemmeldi. Damak tadına güvenenleri şiddetle tavsiye ederim.
Sahibi beyefendi ve hanımefendi çok ilgili ve çok tatlı insanlar, her sorumu ilgiyle ve güler yüzle cevapladılar. Patatesler inanılmaz lezzetli! Yanında da çoook çeşitli sos seçenekleri var. Tavsiyeleri üzerine trüflü burger yedim, çok beğendim, ekmeği köftesi lezzetli ve tazecikti. Bir sonraki ziyaretimde chicken burger deneyeceğim! Ayrıca churros’u Ankara’da yediğim en iyi churrostu, yemekten sonra deneyin derim!
